nav-layout.css — primary navigation layout corrections
Added 2026-09-20 with the Free CLE nav item (see CHANGELOG).

WHY THIS IS A SEPARATE FILE, AND HOW TO REMOVE IT
These two rules belong in site.css alongside the other .nav__ rules. They
were split out only because the session that added them could not push to
this repository over git and had to write whole files through the GitHub
connector; rewriting 564 lines of production CSS by hand to change two
properties was not a safe trade on two live sites.

The next person to edit site.css from a session with git push access should
fold these two declarations into the .nav__list and .nav__link rules there
and delete this file plus its <link> in _BUILD/templates/base.html.

   WHAT THEY DO
The primary nav carries eight items, the longest being the county resources
label ("LOS ANGELES APPELLATE RESOURCES"). Without these rules the flex row
shrinks items until their labels break mid-phrase onto two lines, from about
1200px down to the 900px hamburger breakpoint. Allowing the list to wrap as
whole items, and forbidding a break inside a label, keeps every label on one
line at every width; the consultation button drops to its own row instead.
   Verified in Chromium at 320/390/600/768/820/900/901/950/1024/1100/1150/1280/
1440/1600px on both live sites: no horizontal overflow, no two-line items,
   mobile menu unaffected.
